DAY CAMPS
Introducing a Summer Camp for all Children ages 5-10yrs lead by Gretchen Goddard and Doro Hofmann
Come get creative and be inspired!!
Combining movement with arts and crafts, create your own stories & projects, make new friends, and have fun in a supportive environment. All characters & scenes crafted by the children will be brought together in a weekly, puppet show written by the children.
- Daily morning yoga circle and snack preparations
- Design and craft your own soft fabric dolls
- Design and sew your own stuffed animal
- Create your own story/song for the characters your create
- Work as a team to design/build natural scenes for your stories (diorama)
- Put on a puppet show to bring all the elements together
*Children will have access to the outdoor playground throughout the day
Dates: June 18th to August 3rd, 2018
M-F, 9:30am to 2:30pm, 9am early drop off and After Program may be available if sufficient demand should arise.
Fees: $350/week (includes all materials and a healthy, organic snack), please bring your own lunch.
Gretchen Goddard, CIMI, CCBE, AHPE is a Parent Educator, Infant Massage Instructor, Childbirth Educator, Founder of The Sanctuary New Family Foundation and most importantly, the mother of three. She is certified to teach Attachment Parenting through Attachment Parenting International and has been steeped in Waldorf philosophy and education for the last 5+ years. Formerly, the Director of The Sanctuary Birth & Family Wellness Center, Gretchen has been working w/children and parents educating families for the past 10+ years. All of her work with children and families is an extension of her passion and motivation to make a difference in the realm of infant care, the parent-child relationship, and the emotional and cognitive development of children. Doro Hofmann has been an award winning fine arts artist for over 10 years.
She started out studying graphic design in 1999, and earned her Masters of Fine Arts degree in 2005 at the prestigious National Academy for Fine Arts in Karlsruhe, Germany. Since childhood, Doro has been exposed and immersed in the nurturing ways of the Waldorf philosophy and the arts and crafts. Doro comes from a long line of artists; her father was a high school teacher for the arts, crafts and techniques. After her son spent 2.5 years at a Waldorf inspired preschool, Doro began wholeheartedly leading and helping with her sons class’ crafting curriculum including taking on the roll of crafting coordinator for children from 4-7yrs.
